Yoga can be traced back over 4,000 years from its origins in the Indian Subcontinent, from where it spread to other Asian countries. Colonial development in the 1800’s stimulated an interest in yoga in western countries, where it continued to grow in popularity throughout the twentieth century.

Of the many styles taught, the most popular in the West is Hatha Yoga. This
is the form I teach in my
classes which covers asanas
(postures), pranayama,
relaxation and meditation.

Gentle stretching,
breathing and relaxation
are the perfect way to
improve health, release
tension and find peace
and happiness.

“Enjoyable class with good half-hour relaxation at the end.” Julie Pugh

"Margaret is an excellent teacher with the right mix of exercises and relaxation.” Lorraine Mariner

"Good pace to the class, variety of postures each class and week by week.  Great teacher who encourages us.” Rachael Lewis
